What to Expect From Therapy

Therapy is a very personal experience and will differ from person to person. Some clients benefit from a more active approach where specific tools or techniques are suggested for clients to use in their daily lives. For others, simply having a safe and private space to talk about things going on in their lives with someone they trust is necessary. In most cases a combination of both is best.

The length of treatment will also vary between clients. Some benefit from a short, focused therapy and will see huge benefits after 4-6 sessions. Others respond better to a more in-depth approach and might decide to stay in therapy for many months or even years. Sessions are always governed by needs and wishes of the client. Regular feedback is obtained and there is no request to commit to a set number of sessions.

An initial assessment takes approximately 90 minutes. Ongoing therapy sessions last 60 minutes and are usually weekly in the beginning. Longer or less frequent sessions can also be arranged.  Should you have any questions or concerns please contact Dr Romi Ran.
